If you belong to ECE background and you have a good score of at least 65% or more then you need not worry. There are plenty of jobs out there waiting for you. You have tremendous scope especially in Government sector like BSNL, SAIL, BHEL, ONGC etc. Being an ECE fresher you are also eligible for ongoing campus placements of core companies like TCS, IBM,VIPRO, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS etc. Being an ECE fresher keep the following options in mind to proceed towards a better career:
• Freshers are easily getting hired in private as well as government sector with a minimum of 65% marks in your graduation even with the prevailing competitive scenario.
• There are innumerable job prospects in software field for electronics and communication engineering freshers. The ECE freshers are getting recruited in the software fields so don’t miss out on the selection procedures, be it campus or off-campus placements.
• Take the Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam. The toughest exam with high conceptual clarity for electronic engineers. Build up your concepts, clear the exam and in no time you are an employee of Central Government. Your rank equals the post of IAS.
• Finally, GATE. If you wish to pursue higher studies appear for GATE, a good score can land you in good colleges. Many electronic companies like Intel, Samsung etc recruit GATE cleared electronic engineers at a very handsome salary.
